30 years ago, 666.667 Club shook up the French rock scene. Carried by iconic tracks such as “Un jour en France”, “Fin de siècle”, “À ton étoile”, “L’homme pressé”, “Lazy” or “Comme elle vient”, the album denounces the rise of far-right ideologies, ultra-liberalism, and modern alienation — while giving space to fragility and introspection.
Its success was immediate: number one in the French album charts, over a million copies sold, and unanimous critical acclaim.

666.667 CLUB – 30 YEARS

This 5th album marked a turning point in Noir Désir’s career. It stands out for its introspective approach and bold exploration of social and political themes, while preserving the band’s trademark raw energy.
The monumental tour following the album’s release (1996–1998) drew over 300,000 people across France and Europe, with unforgettable dates in legendary venues (Olympia, Zéniths…) and festivals (Eurockéennes, Paléo…), cementing the band’s almost mythical live reputation.

The album’s title came from a tempo-measuring device they used during recording. Everyone — including the producer and sound engineer — competed to see who could play fastest on the keys. They all hit 666 (the “Club”). They found it amusing to get the number of the beast, and added a glimmer of hope with the number 7.

Since 2007, the Liège-based band ¡Todo está aquí! – Noir Désir Tribute has played over 150 shows, performing at major (tribute and non-tribute) festivals across Belgium, France and Italy.
On stage, it’s pure rock’n’roll — energy, passion and connection with the audience!
