In 2012, Didier unplugged his electric guitar to focus on more “intellectual” performances, hoping to finally be seen as a credible artist by a certain segment of the champagne socialist crowd, also known as the “France Inter” audience.

The outcome of this maneuver being mixed, he decided—following his mother’s advice—to start a rock band again. It’s intellectually less demanding for him and, as a result, more accessible to the poor, who, after all, make up the majority of the audience in our country.

DISCOUNT is Didier Super with musicians, plus three female singers. Not because he believes in gender parity in modern music, but as he so eloquently puts it: “The best way to avoid getting hassled by feminists is to be their boss.”
