DeWolff

Nestled in the heart of Alabama, Muscle Shoals has long been the home of American soul. In May 2024, Dutch trio DeWolff travelled there to record their 10th studio album across both legendary studios — FAME and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio — with Grammy-winning producer Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes). Channeling the spirit of Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, and The Rolling Stones, the band captured the raw authenticity and timeless groove that define their sound. With Muscle Shoals, DeWolff continues their unstoppable run, blending soulful rock, psychedelia, and vintage passion into a vibrant homage to the birthplace of soul.

Boogie Beasts

Boogie Beasts celebrate 15 years with a unique tribute to R.L. Burnside

In 2026, Belgian alternative blues-rock band Boogie Beasts mark their 15th anniversary — and they’re doing it in style, by also honouring what would have been the 100th birthday of one of their biggest musical heroes: blues legend R.L. Burnside.

To celebrate the double milestone, the band is releasing a brand-new album, Don’t Be So Mean, along with a fiery new live show: a heartfelt tribute to Burnside and the raw, hypnotic blues that shaped their sound.

The album is the result of a one-of-a-kind transatlantic collaboration between European and American musicians — some of whom actually shared the stage with Burnside himself. His son Duwayne Burnside, long-time guitarist and protégé Kenny Brown, and Luther Dickinson (North Mississippi Allstars, ex–The Black Crowes) all feature on the record. From Philadelphia, ‘90s icon G. Love adds his signature hip-hop-infused vibe to the mix.

The European side is equally well represented: Dutch guitar wizard Pablo van de Poel (DeWolff) and Belgian garage rocker Cedric Maes (The Sore Losers, The Sha-La-Lee’s) both contribute their own grit and soul to the project.

With Don’t Be So Mean, Boogie Beasts return to their roots in North Mississippi Hill Country Blues. The album is raw, real and pure Boogie Beasts.

The first single will be released after New Year, with the album to follow in the spring.

To match the album, the band is also taking a brand-new live show on the road — a celebration of the music that inspired their very existence. Expect a hard-hitting, high-energy set packed with tracks from Don’t Be So Mean, classic Hill Country staples, and, whenever possible, surprise appearances by special guests from the album.

This is Boogie Beasts doing what they do best.
