See you at the Reflektor on 19/09!
The Witness, SUUNS’ fifth album, once again marks a clever and offbeat left turn. For a band of this nature, the basic principle is always to get to the bottom of things or to get out of your comfort zone. In a way, this is true on The Witness, although it could be argued that these eight movements show SUUNS at their most comfortable and outspoken. Self-recorded and self-produced for most of 2020 – a year of conflict, solitude and reflection – The Witness shows the band holding a magnifying glass over their own default state of play and performance.
Big Enough is an astonishing, varied yet coherent album. Guitarist/vocalist Michiel Libberecht becomes more personal, revealing himself to be a storyteller in his own right in every song.
Come and experience Mooneye live at one of the concerts on the album launch tour, which takes in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. With new songs, hits like Bright Lights, Fix The Heater and Thinking About Leaving, well-known tracks from the album and a band that, after years, is in perfect harmony, an evening of top-class music is guaranteed. For those who want to witness it for themselves, don’t wait too long to get your ticket….
“Mooneye has grown up a lot and, given their impressive tour of Belgium and Holland, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this is one of the most engaging Indian bands of the moment” Le soir
